Dr. Rebecca Hu

Veterinarian

I have always loved animals my entire life, but unfortunately, I was severely allergic to them all. However, I didn’t let that stop me! After years of immunotherapy, I was ready to tackle my future. I had the pleasure of attending veterinary school on the beautiful island of St. Kitts and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Not only did I leave the island with a veterinary degree, but I also rescued and brought home a Coconut Retriever named Starling. My family then grew by four paws in 2020 when we rescued Duke from North Carolina, and most recently we rescued Kitt – a stray kitten found in our very own West Hill Animal Clinic parking lot!

My areas of interest include rehabilitation, nutrition, surgery, and animal behaviour/training. My favourite thing about West Hill is how well the entire team works together – you will always hear laughter somewhere around the clinic! During my spare time, I try to be outdoors as much as possible. Whether it’s finding a new trail to hike, discovering a new patio with great food, or going to a festival, I’m the happiest when I’m under the sun!
